VT-VRPA2-1-1X/V0/T5

The VT-VRPA2-1-1X/V0/T5 plug-in module is an electric amplifier produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the VT-VRPA Electric Amplifiers series. Installed in a 19-inch rack, it conditions command signals and powers a proportional solenoid so that a 4WRE 6…-2X directional valve can follow precise spool positions in closed-loop hydraulic motion. Within an automated press or molding cell, the card converts low-level control references into the regulated current required for fast and repeatable flow control.

It is powered by a 24 V DC supply delivered through the system backplane. The voltage command input accepts ±10 V from a PLC and has an input impedance of 100 Ω, preventing excessive current draw from the upstream source. Internally, the card reproduces this reference at a ±10 V command output that drives the internal servo electronics, while an actual value output of ±2.5 V returns the closed-loop position to the controller. To move the spool, the amplifier can source a continuous 2.5 A valve current, trimmed by five selectable ramp times that smooth acceleration and deceleration. All terminations sit on a 48-pin DIN 41612 F connector, and the board follows the 100 × 160 mm Eurocard format to fit standard subracks.

Operation is maintained up to 50 °C, and the circuit remains functional with supply excursions between the 18 V lower limit and the 35 V upper limit stated for the machine rail. An onboard pulse-width oscillator running at 5.6 kHz modulates coil energy so hysteresis in the hydraulic stage stays low. Overcurrent protection is provided by a 2 A fuse that opens before trace damage occurs. The card can operate beside other control electronics without dedicated cooling while delivering linear control to the associated proportional valve.
