CFL Modules

Indramat CFL Function Modules are plug-in expansion units used to add memory, communication, and high-speed I/O capabilities to the IndraControl L40 controller. The modules connect through the L40’s dedicated 120-pin PC104Plus interface, which carries both PCI signals and system-specific controller signals. Up to four CFL modules can be installed on a supported IndraControl L40 configuration, with module power supplied directly from the controller’s internal supply. Available variants include SRAM memory expansion, DeviceNet master, PROFIBUS DP master, and SERCOS III communication modules. Other versions add fiber-optic ring cross-communication, fast digital I/O, and cam-switch functions for time-sensitive machine signals. Because the CFL series is built specifically for the IndraControl L40 platform, module selection depends on the controller configuration, supported expansion layout, and required installation conditions.
