This modular unit plugs into IndraDrive power sections and acts as the command processor for servo axes in industrial automation systems. By hosting firmware, handling feedback data, and issuing motion commands, it forms the interface between the higher-level PLC and the drive, coordinating speed, torque, and position loops for synchronous, asynchronous, or linear motors.

Within its signal-conditioning stage, the analog input channel offers a bandwidth of 1.4 kHz, allowing rapid acquisition of sensor values without external filtering. The same input presents an impedance of 160 kΩ, so transducers experience minimal loading. On the output side, the controller can source up to 1 mA at a fixed reference of 5 V, adequate for standard drive analog command circuits. Discrete control lines accept field-level logic at 24 VDC; each input draws 3 mA, a current low enough to avoid stressing proximity switches or solid-state relays. Together, these parameters define the response time, signal integrity, and wiring considerations for the embedded I/O.

Encoder and auxiliary circuits are powered separately: the secondary interface supplies 5 V while the primary port provides 12 V. For all channels combined, the board can deliver a maximum of 1.1 A, so designers must budget sensor and encoder loads accordingly. Two form-C relay outputs are included; their contacts are rated for 1 A at 24 VDC, enabling direct switching of brake solenoids or interlock lines. Mechanical handling is limited to 20 mount or dismount cycles, guarding edge-connector reliability. Fast commissioning and diagnostics are supported by the built-in RS-232 service port, which communicates configuration data and real-time status to a PC or HMI without occupying the fieldbus link.
