The CSH01.1C-NN-ENS-MA1-MD1-S1-S-NN-FW is a motion and logic controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSH Advanced Controllers series. The board-level unit is installed in IndraDrive amplifier stacks where it executes position loops, manages local I/O, and communicates with plant networks through its serial interface. Within an automation cell it supplies the real-time command layer that synchronizes axes, sequences machine steps, and acquires process data, reducing the need for an external PLC in pick-and-place, packaging, or material-handling equipment.

At the I/O level, the controller adds 2 analog input channels for external sensor signals and 2 analog output channels for proportional valve or reference generation. Twelve-bit conversion provides 12-bit analog resolution, giving 4096 discrete counts for voltage or current scaling. In parallel, the logic section accepts 12 digital inputs for limit switches or interlocks and drives 8 digital outputs that can energize relays or status lights. Initial energization produces a 4 A inrush current that lasts no longer than 100 ms, so upstream power supplies must tolerate that brief surge. After the surge the electronics return to nominal load while maintaining RS232 diagnostics and continuous encoder supervision.

The power backbone enters through a DC 24 V control supply, and the module draws a measured 7.5 W base power draw during continuous run, allowing it to share low-capacity cabinet sources with adjacent sensors. Integrated conditioning provides a DC 11.6 V encoder supply that can deliver up to 300 mA encoder supply current, adequate for IndraDyn, HIPERFACE, or 1 Vpp feedback devices without external boosters. Because the defined inrush interval ends after 100 ms, thermal stress on field wiring remains minimal, and the spare analog and digital channels can be reassigned in firmware to handle speed set-points, temperature probes, or fast interrupt functions as machine requirements evolve.
