The CSH01.1C-NN-ENS-NNN-MD1-L2-S-NN-FW is a plug-in motion control card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CSH Advanced Controllers series. Installed in IndraDrive power sections, the board provides axis management, feedback evaluation, and integrated safety for multi-axis automation. By hosting the real-time firmware that executes position, velocity, and torque loops, it acts as the central coordinating element between the drive inverter and higher-level PLCs. In an automated cell, the product’s role is to translate machine commands into deterministic motor actuation while monitoring encoder feedback for closed-loop accuracy.

A dedicated low-voltage input of DC 24 V powers the card’s logic, gate arrays, and watchdog circuitry, keeping the control section active even when the mains is isolated. The incremental or absolute transducer connects through a D-SUB 15-Pin Female interface; this port routes data and excitation directly to the on-board evaluation ASIC. The board sources up to 300 mA at an encoder line voltage of 11.6 V, sufficient for typical SICK or Heidenhain sensor loads without external supply modules. Twelve additional digital channels are available through the I/O extension ribbon, giving the user 12 configurable inputs for probes, homing switches, or auxiliary interlocks. For personnel protection, the integrated safety circuit supports the Safe Torque Off function that removes drive-enable paths within microseconds.

Fieldbus selection is left open; the Control Communication parameter is Not Equipped, allowing the integrator to choose SERCOS, EtherCAT, or another option on a separate interface card without occupying backplane resources. The hardware path for the STO pair is broken out to a D-SUB 9-Pin Female connector, simplifying hard-wired linkage to emergency-stop buttons and safety relays. On the feedback side, the evaluation stage automatically identifies IndraDyn, Hiperface, 1Vpp, 5V TTL encoder formats, so mixed-sensor machinery can be commissioned with a common controller while maintaining full resolution and diagnostic coverage across all axes.
