This control section operates from a nominal supply of 24 VDC and its internal electronics draw only 7.5 W, minimizing cabinet heat load. When power is applied, the input can surge to 4 A for up to 100 ms; this inrush pulse should be considered when sizing the upstream supply and protection devices. Resolver feedback circuits energize the transducer with a carrier of 4 kHz, allowing accurate phase detection even under electrical noise. The resolver signal is superimposed on an 18.2 Vpp amplitude discussed later, and the control platform passes processed position data to the drive via its master SERCOS III channel, maintaining the deterministic timing required for multi-axis interpolation.

Field wiring is handled through clearly defined connectors. The primary encoder input, labeled EN1, uses a D-Sub 15 (Female) socket, so shielded cables with backshells can be locked in place. Network traffic for the motion bus runs through a pair of RJ-45 jacks, and the hardware provides 2 SERCOS III ports so that daisychaining of additional drives is possible without switches. For resolver feedback, the excitation voltage is set at 18.2 Vpp, which balances signal strength with transducer heating. Together these hardware attributes support reliable feedback acquisition and deterministic motion control in compact inverter stacks.
