The CSH01.3C-PB-EN1-EN2-CCD-S2-S-NN-FW control section is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the CSH Advanced Controllers series. It slides into an IndraDrive modular rack and converts fieldbus telegrams into axis commands for industrial automation equipment. Integrated resolver and high-speed encoder channels let the controller close position loops directly, while Profibus-DP connectivity ties motion data to plant-wide PLCs. Within a compact housing the unit also carries local analog outputs for proportional valves, sensors, or process indicators, making it a multifunction node inside packaging, printing, and material-handling systems.

The board provides 2 analog outputs, each supplying ±10 V signals for real-time reference values. Its first high-speed feedback port (EN1) can energize Hiperface encoders with a steady 250 mA at 8 VDC, ensuring reliable optical-disk scanning. When a resolver is wired to the same port, the excitation coil is driven at 4 kHz, a frequency that maintains angular resolution without excessive core heating. All internal gate drivers can switch up to 16 kHz; this high carrier rate reduces motor current ripple and audible noise when the connected power stage modulates phase voltages.

The resolver’s sine-wave carrier leaves the module at 18.2 Vpp and returns through a differential receiver that tolerates plant-level interference. During start-up the excitation circuit draws only 70 mA, minimizing inrush on the low-voltage bus. A second encoder port (EN2) supports TTL or RS-422 feedback and supplies sensing electronics with 5.0 VDC while sourcing up to 350 mA; this headroom covers multiturn absolute devices that include internal memory. The Profibus interface appears on a shielded D-Sub 9-pin female connector, and its repeater is powered from the controller’s 5 V rail so that external bus extenders are unnecessary.
