Its X16 COM serial interface is designed for diagnostics and it contains a socket for a firmware module. The device, used primarily in machine tools, adheres strictly to safety regulations and requires a ground wire connected to its electrical units. It communicates with the MTS-R01.2 PLC assembly using the manufacturer-provided local bus and can connect to an RS 232/RS 485 programming interface.
