The CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-EN1-NNN-S1-S-NN-FW is a dual-axis control unit produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. It installs in an electrical cabinet to supervise servo drives and translate high-level motion commands into timed switching signals. Within an automated cell it also gathers feedback from encoders and probe inputs so the higher-level controller receives synchronized position data.
The unit communicates through the fiber-optic SERCOS (Fiber Optic) ring, giving deterministic exchange with neighboring devices. Logic circuits operate from a stabilized 24 V DC supply, and internal demand is limited to 7.5 W when no option cards are fitted. There are 18 digital inputs, 2 analog outputs, and 2 touch-probe channels so sensors can be wired directly. Motion resources for 2 axes are integrated on the board; each encoder connection can source 500 mA, and coupling nuts must be tightened no more than 0.6 N·m to protect the threads.
Dynamic regulation is handled by short loops: the current controller closes every 125 µs, the speed loop updates at 250 µs, and the position loop runs on a 500 µs schedule. A carrier of 4 kHz drives the pulse-width modulation so that switching aligns with the control cycles for smooth motor currents. These timings provide precise torque regulation and stable probe capture without surpassing the electrical and thermal limits outlined above.
