The CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-ENS-NNN-L2-S-NN-FW is a control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and organized within the CDB Control Units series. It forms the command layer of an Indramat drive package, processing feedback from encoders and coordinating power sections so that industrial axes follow the motion profiles requested by the higher-level PLC. By combining low-level current regulation, digital I/O handling, and Sercos network communication, the module provides deterministic drive behavior that is essential for machine tools, packaging stations, and material-handling cells.

The unit regulates motor torque with a current loop that closes every 125 µs, allowing rapid correction of magnetic flux changes. Internal electronics draw a single 24 VDC supply and consume only 9 W, which simplifies cabinet power budgeting. Position feedback enters through an analog-to-digital converter that resolves signals to 12 Bit; this resolution defines the smallest incremental change the controller can recognize from a sinusoidal encoder. When the module exchanges data over Sercos, the network can run with a minimum cycle time of 1000 µs, synchronizing multiple drives to the same time base for coordinated motion. Nominal digital input channels accept 24 V at 3 mA, and each transistorized output sources 24 V at 0.5 A, enabling direct connection to sensors, limit switches, or pilot relays without auxiliary interface boards.

Startup transients are limited by an inrush current of 6 A that lasts no longer than 60 ms, preventing supply sag when the control section is energized. Each digital output can switch up to 24 V / 0.5 A, while the integrated relay contact handles control signals up to 24 V / 1 A for interlock chains. The encoder ports supply 11.6 V with a maximum current of 500 mA and present a 120 Ω differential input impedance to maintain signal integrity on long shielded cables. For retaining the fiber-optic plug-in connectors, the permitted Sercos coupling nut torque is limited to 0.6 Nm. A single-line display and four membrane keys on the front panel provide local parameter access and fault acknowledgment.
