The DDC series uses fully digital control, parameter handling, monitoring, and diagnostics, with high-resolution rotor position feedback maintained across the full speed range. Its IP65 construction allows the drive to be installed close to the machine or feeder area, helping reduce long motor and feedback cable runs that can increase interference risk and service issues. Each basic unit includes core power-stage functions such as an internal DC bus, integrated control-voltage supply, mains contactor, and braking-energy handling through an internal bleeder and dynamic braking arrangement. System functions are expanded through plug-in module slots for command interfaces such as SERCOS or analog control, positioning options, and auxiliary I/O or measuring modules. A removable software module stores the firmware and parameter set, allowing faster unit replacement without rebuilding the drive setup from scratch. Additional features include motor holding-brake control and monitoring, configurable fault reactions, and local diagnostic displays for easier commissioning and troubleshooting in industrial applications.
