Bosch Rexroth Indramat DKR Drive Controllers are digital intelligent drive controllers used for high-power motion axes in demanding industrial machines. The DKR series is designed to control and monitor motor types such as 2AD and ADF AC main spindle motors, 1MB frameless spindle motors, and LSF/LAF linear motors. These controllers connect directly to grounded three-phase 400–480 VAC mains and include an integrated mains contactor along with an emergency-stop shutdown device. During braking, regenerated energy can be returned to the mains, including during E-stop conditions. The platform is suited for applications requiring a wide speed range with constant power, including NC machine tools and printing machinery, with continuous motor output capability ranging from roughly 10 kW to 93 kW depending on the configuration. Cooling is built into the controller through a heatsink and blower arrangement, with cabinet-planning options for internal cabinet air, external cabinet air, or ducted airflow. System configuration is handled through plug-in option slots and a removable firmware/software module that stores the operating software and drive parameters. Braking configurations vary by model, with integrated brake resistors available on selected DKR02 and DKR03 units and an external brake resistor option used with DKR04 controllers for controlled deceleration when mains power is unavailable.
