The Rexroth Indramat R911283714 (DKR03.1-W200B-BE37-01-FW) drive, from the DKR series, can be directly connected to a grounded star network or an isolated three-phase system. If voltage differences exist between the main power source and the drive, an autotransformer should be installed for equilibrium. Use of overvoltage suppressor or isolating transformer is recommended when connecting the drive controller to ungrounded systems to protect against possible overvoltage. While an overvoltage suppressor is less expensive, it can't be fixed if damaged. This drive generates the required voltage over 400V for operation from the main power source, using a thyristor bridge and phase control, providing about 520V to the DC bus.
