The DKS1.1-W100A-DA01-00 is a digital servo drive developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. Designed to regulate the torque and velocity loops of synchronous motors, the unit interfaces with higher-level motion controllers to close position feedback in automated machinery. By converting DC bus energy into controlled three-phase outputs, the drive enables rapid acceleration and dynamic braking in packaging lines, handling systems, and assembly stations.

At the core of its power stage, the drive can deliver a continuous output of 100 A, a current ceiling that defines the thermal sizing of connected conductors and fuses. The intermediate circuit is maintained at 300 V DC, so braking choppers and capacitors must be selected for that voltage class. During deceleration the unit returns up to 0.5 kW of regenerated energy without external bleeder resistors, while short peaks reach 18 kW before the internal protection limits intervene. When running at maximum motor load the electronics dissipate 480 W, heat that must be removed by cabinet airflow to avoid derating. The humidity class F rating tolerates cyclic moisture found in factory halls, and the drive firmware coordinates these electrical parameters for closed-loop operation.

Pulse-width modulation is produced at a carrier of 4 kHz, reducing audible noise while keeping switching losses within the thermal margin discussed above. Reliable service is specified up to +55 °C, though currents are automatically reduced as that temperature is approached. Operation is permitted to an altitude of 1000 m without scaling the output tables, ensuring full performance in most plant locations. The housing carries an IP10 rating, so it must be mounted inside an enclosure that prevents accidental contact with live parts.
