DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives are compact microprocessor-based AC servo drives that combine the power supply section and servo control electronics in one cabinet-mounted unit. The DKS series is configured through plug-in modules that define the drive’s control and application functions. Available command interface options include SERCOS, analog interfaces with incremental or absolute encoder emulation, and single-axis positioning cards. A removable software module stores the operating firmware and drive parameters, while optional auxiliary cards can add functions such as binary I/O or external measuring-system inputs. Standard drive protection includes power shutoff capability, inrush current limiting, programmable fault responses, and integrated dynamic braking to stop the axis during internal fault conditions. The platform also provides an alphanumeric diagnostic display and supports control and monitoring of a motor holding brake. DKS drives connect directly to 230 VAC systems, are offered in 30 A, 50 A, and 100 A current classes, and are commonly paired with MDD digital AC servo motors in CNC machinery, robotics, handling equipment, and packaging or printing applications.
