This digital servo drive conditions three-phase power and processes resolver feedback to deliver closed-loop motion control for industrial axes. In automated palletizers, assembly stations, and similar equipment, the unit converts AC line energy to a regulated DC link, modulates output with pulse-width switching, and monitors load status so that the driven motor follows commanded speed and position profiles.
In normal operation the drive accepts a three-phase supply of 3x 230 V AC (±10 %) at 50–60 Hz and rectifies it to a link voltage of 300 V DC. A continuous output rating of 50 A supports medium-frame motors, while internal circuitry dissipates regenerated energy through a bleeder resistor rated for 0.35 kW continuous and up to 9.4 kW during braking peaks. Resolver feedback is processed by 16-bit converters for velocity and position loops, maintaining stable commutation even when supply frequency drifts within the 50/60 Hz window. These electrical figures define the thermal profile and determine the size of external contactors and protection devices that must be installed upstream.
The control stage chops the DC link at 4 kHz, producing symmetric PWM that keeps switching losses to 305 W under maximum load. When peak dynamics are required the input can draw up to 9.5 kVA, so cabling and fusing must match that demand. Passive heat dissipation across the enclosure limits ambient temperature to 55 °C and permits installation at elevations to 1000 m without derating, provided airflow is unobstructed. The housing carries the IP10 protection class, and noise emission is classified as standard. Firmware version 1 synchronizes these electrical and environmental limits with diagnostic messaging through the drive’s serial interface.
