The DKS01.2-W100A-DA07-02-FW is a digital servo drive manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives series. It is intended to control MDD synchronous motors in automated production cells. By regulating current and voltage in real time, the unit executes position, speed, and torque commands from higher-level motion controllers across conveyor sections, pick-and-place axes, and machining spindles.

Electrical performance centers on the intermediate circuit that sits at 300 V DC, from which the power electronics draw a rated apparent power of 11 kVA. In continuous duty the current regulator supplies 50 A to the connected motor, while short-term peaks can reach 100A for acceleration events. Self-dissipation at maximum load is limited to 480 W, reducing enclosure thermal load. Cooling is passive; heat flows through finned aluminum surfaces as specified by the heat dissipation method, eliminating external fans. Version 2 control firmware works with the DSF resolver feedback channel to close the velocity loop, and the drive’s power stage is dimensioned for that bus generated by an upstream supply unit.

Regenerative braking energy is absorbed by an internal resistor that disperses 0.5 kW continuously and withstands surges of 18 kW during emergency stops. The housing carries an IP10 rating, so installation inside a switchgear cabinet is mandatory for particulate protection. Altitudes up to 1000 m do not require derating, and the humidity envelope matches Class F (DIN 40040), allowing operation in factories with elevated moisture as long as condensation is avoided. Noise emission is designated standard, and overall cooling relies solely on heat conduction through the mounting plate, aligning with the specified heat dissipation method. The DSF resolver supplies absolute rotor angle and speed data, ensuring tight current and position control during high-cycle operation.
