Bosch Rexroth Indramat HCS IndraDrive Controllers are modular drive controllers that combine an HCS power section with a plug-in control section for industrial motor-control applications. The HCS power section contains the main power hardware needed for drive operation, including the mains input, motor output, 24 VDC control supply input, DC-bus connections for shared-bus arrangements, and the module-bus interface. Depending on the configuration, the unit can also support motor holding-brake wiring, motor-temperature monitoring, and an external braking resistor connection. In the HCS01 range, UL/CSA-listed variants are designed for 1-phase or 3-phase 110–230 VAC mains and provide a 3-phase 0–230 VAC motor output with output frequency capability up to 1600 Hz. The electronics are powered separately through a 24 VDC control input with ±20% tolerance. These controllers are built for industrial electrical installations and include defined installation requirements such as pollution degree 2 and a 42 kA rms short-circuit current rating on UL-rated HCS01 units. The series is classified as EMC Category C3 for restricted distribution, so proper drive-system installation typically requires suitable mains filtering, shielding, grounding, and other interference-suppression measures.
