Bosch Rexroth Indramat HDC DuraDrive Controllers are stand-alone digital drive controllers built for industrial machines operating in harsh ambient conditions. The HDC series combines drive regulation, monitoring, diagnostics, and commissioning functions in an IP65-rated package. Available rated-current classes include 40 A, 100 A, and 200 A versions, allowing the controller to be matched to different machine power requirements. Typical applications include handling systems, packaging machinery, assembly equipment, printing machines, and machine tools. The controllers operate from a three-phase AC mains supply over a broad input range and use a separate 24 VDC control supply, with system design supported by the appropriate DuraDrive control-voltage supply and filtering components. For automation integration, HDC units support communication options such as SERCOS, PROFIBUS-DP, InterBus, CANopen, and DeviceNet, along with serial service access. Motion feedback is handled through two encoder inputs that support several measuring-system types, including digital servo feedback, resolver feedback, sine/cosine incremental signals, EnDat, and other encoder formats. This allows HDC controllers to be configured with multiple Rexroth motor families depending on the application and drive setup.
