A drive dissipating ~1.2 kW generates substantial heat, so ambient temperature must be controlled (often < 40°C) and enclosure design must support forced cooling or heat sinks. Thermal cycling or exposure to higher ambient temps will reduce lifespan of power components.

Even when not driving load, the drive still draws ~55 W for control electronics; in low-use or idle periods this consumption contributes to operational costs and may require UPS or auxiliary supply capacity. Evaluate power budgets accordingly in systems with intermittent use.

Without a communication interface you’ll need external hardware to supply motion or speed commands (analog, pulse, etc.), which complicates integration into modern PLC or fieldbus-based control systems. This may force additional wiring or signal converters, raising both complexity and potential latency.

Class C insulation typically allows higher temperatures (e.g. up to ~180-200 °C) before insulation breakdown; this gives more margin under thermal stress but does not remove the need for cooling. Operating continuously near thermal limits will still degrade insulation over time, so temperature monitoring is recommended.

IP10 means protection against vertical falling drops of water is nil and only against solid objects >50 mm; it offers no protection from fine dust or splashing liquids. Thus, the drive should be installed in clean, dry environments or within enclosures that provide higher protection in harsher settings.
