HLL Bus Chokes

Bosch Rexroth HLL Bus Chokes are DC-link conditioning modules used in IndraDrive systems where one supply unit feeds one or more connected drive axes. The module’s main role is to add current-compensated inductance into the DC bus. This helps moderate current surges, reduce the impact of fast load changes, and support steadier energy exchange between the supply and the drive controllers. HLL units are intended for high-voltage DC-link operation and are specified with both continuous current ratings and short-duration peak current capability for dynamic machine cycles. For cabinet installation, the series includes a temperature monitoring contact and requires the correct mounting position, free-convection spacing, and adequate clearance for heat dissipation. Wiring is handled through dedicated DC+ and DC− connections, along with a required protective-earth bond, so correct polarity and grounding continuity are important throughout the drive system.
