HLR Brake Resistors

Bosch Rexroth HLR01 Brake Resistors are external braking accessories used with HCS03 converters when regenerative energy must be dissipated outside the drive. The series is arranged for installation above the converter, reducing cabinet space while allowing the resistor assembly to use airflow extracted from the converter for cooling. HLR01 units are designed for demanding pulse-load conditions and use encapsulated resistor elements built for dielectric strength, flame resistance, and environmental protection. The product range includes units from 0.3 kW / 37 kWs through 36 kW / 3,888 kWs, with the listed technical data based on a 120-second operating cycle. Mechanical dimensions and weight increase significantly across the range, starting at approximately 123 × 300 × 196 mm and 3 kg and reaching approximately 995 × 710 × 490 mm and 93 kg on the largest versions.
