HMS Axis Inverters

The HMS Axis Inverter series serves as the single-axis inverter section for Bosch Rexroth Indramat IndraDrive systems. HMS01 and HMS02 units are powered from a compatible DC supply, such as an HMV supply unit, through the L+ and L− DC-bus connections. Once supplied, the inverter converts DC-bus power into a three-phase motor output for the connected axis. Depending on the module size, output voltage can reach up to 3 × AC 0…500 V, with continuous current ratings ranging from about 15 A to 250 A. A separate 24 V control-voltage input powers the inverter electronics and supports integration functions such as motor temperature monitoring and external 24 V holding-brake control. HMS02 versions add an electromechanical brake contact designed for high switching life. For cabinet installation, the series requires proper protective-earth bonding, suitable cooling and mounting conditions, branch-circuit protection based on the supply system, and correct shielding, strain relief, and DC-bus accessory use for reliable EMC performance.
