Operation is specified between 5 to 45 °C, and installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level without derating, matching typical shop-floor conditions. Heat removal follows a forced cooling scheme provided by the onboard fan assembly, eliminating the need for cabinet air exchangers. A dedicated second encoder socket accepts feedback signals “for spindle feedback or additional motor feedback,” enabling dual-channel position verification when high precision threading or gear cutting is required. The drive ships with no additional interface option, and its designation “Series 3” indicates a firmware level aligned with later Indramat supply modules.
