The Bosch Rexroth Indramat KDA 3.2-050-3-DYI-U1 from the KDA Spindle Drives series is a high-performance main spindle drive designed for industrial automation. It operates on a three-phase input voltage of 3x220-230 V AC and delivers a nominal current of 3.2 A while maintaining a stable performance envelope. The KDA 3.2-050-3-DYI-U1 features a Digital 16-Bit Parallel Speed Command Value interface that processes speed orders with high precision. It includes an Aux. Encoder Input with auxiliary and synchronous modes for flexible signal handling, complemented by an incremental encoder output for advanced feedback in challenging control tasks. Forced cooling is managed by a heatsink fan powered at 115 V / 50-60 Hz, maintaining optimal thermal conditions under continuous operation. The unit carries an IP10 protection level, safeguarding internal electronics from incidental contact and particulate ingress.

Engineered for versatile deployment, the drive operates reliably in ambient temperatures from +5 °C to +45 °C and can withstand peak conditions up to +55 °C with derating of nominal data. During transport and storage, it tolerates environments between -30 °C and +85 °C, preserving functionality until commissioning. Installation at altitudes up to 1000 m above sea level is supported, and the control electronics draw 1.2 A at +24 V supply current for auxiliary systems.
