By mounting the power electronics on the 061-size motor, the device merges motion control and power conversion in one housing and eliminates external drive cabinets. It serves decentralized packaging lines, handling robots, and other modular machines as a regulated servo actuator and network node that receives high-speed commands and returns precise torque, speed, and position feedback to the host controller.

A single hybrid connector carries the DC bus, logic supply, and feedback signals, reducing assembly time and wiring errors. The drive runs from a DC 750 V link and dissipates heat by Natural convection, avoiding fans or coolant loops. Communication and encoder data share the same line through the Hybrid Connector and integrated Multi-Ethernet interface that supports EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET, and SERCOS III. Rotor position is captured with a Hiperface optical encoder delivering 128 signal periods per revolution. Motor length C and winding code 61 set the continuous torque, while the Basic performance level targets general-purpose axes.

Functional safety is delivered through Safe Torque Off (STO), enabling immediate energy isolation without altering the motion program. Mechanical power exits through a Shaft with keyway, and a shaft seal limits dust or fluid ingress. The motor section is size 061, length C, series 2, design version 1, giving a compact envelope for tight mounting patterns. Because the unit is supplied without a holding brake, users must rely on drive torque or external locks to maintain position at power down. The Multi-Ethernet output coupling simplifies daisy-chaining when several axes share the same DC link, and the optical multi-turn encoder stores absolute position across power cycles.
