Description
The RD 500 Device is a contemporary three-phase drive system compatible with various induction and synchronous motors. Manufactured by Indramat Refu, this device includes DC supply inverters, AC drive converters, regenerative rectifiers, and supply modules within its composition. The R911200470 (RD51.1-5B-007-L-C1-FW) frequency converter from the RD51 series is essential to this system, using voltage frequency control making it suitable for motors lacking servo characteristics. It requires a three-phase supply voltage of 500 V (±10%), providing a rated motor output and current of 7.5 KW and 14 A, respectively. Cooling is via forced air, with an integrated brake chopper and external 24V standby power. The frequency controller offers a protection degree of 1P 20 per its A size class design. A temperature below 40°C is recommended for optimal operation, complying with the 3k3 environmental class as per DIN INEC 723-3-3. Firmware is available to be ordered separately.
