The integrated brake chopper handles excess regenerative energy with a continuous absorption capability of 2.8 kW and a one-second peak of 18 kW so decelerating loads do not elevate the DC-bus voltage. A matching resistor with a minimum value of 35 Ohm is required to convert that energy into heat. Installation is simplified because the converter weighs only 6.5 kg, permitting single-person mounting and easing compliance with cabinet load limits. These braking and mass characteristics complement the rated and peak power figures discussed above by ensuring safe energy dissipation and manageable mechanical integration.
