RECO-PC-104 N2 LK NAK01

The RECO-PC-104 N2 LK NAK01 is an output interface card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RECO Drive Modules series. Installed on the PC-104 bus inside a motion controller rack, the card converts logic-level commands into field-side switching signals used to actuate contactors, valves, or status lamps in automated machinery. By providing galvanically isolated transistor outputs that track the master drive, the board allows the control section of a Rexroth drive system to publish real-time machine states without routing high current through the central processor.

The card draws control power from a nominal 24 VDC supply, so cabinet wiring can share the same low-voltage rail that feeds sensors and relays. Each 10-pin connector is rated for up to 2 A, providing adequate capacity for its connected output circuits. Internally, the common power rail is protected so that the aggregate current delivered through one connector never surpasses 500 mA. A single channel is limited to 250 mA at 24 V, which is sufficient to drive an optically isolated solenoid or an LED stack light. State data are refreshed every 250 µs, allowing the drive to toggle outputs four thousand times per second for time-critical interlocks and watchdog signals.

The board provides 16 addressable transistor outputs that the drive can control individually. The layout places 8 outputs per connector, dividing the available channels evenly between the two plugs for simpler wiring and signal tracing. When a full node is populated with two identical cards, the controller gains 32 discrete outputs, expanding its handshake capacity for multi-axis installations. The housing is rated IP20, indicating that live parts are protected against finger contact, but the card must be mounted inside an enclosed cabinet to avoid moisture and conductive dust. Screw-locking headers and conformally coated traces support reliable operation during continuous vibration on machine frames.
