RECO-PC-104 P2 LK KA-PB01

The RECO-PC-104 P2 LK KA-PB01 is a fieldbus interface card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RECO Drive Modules series. The board is installed in drive-based control racks and serves as a link between individual Rexroth drives and centralized control systems in industrial automation. By providing a direct slave connection to a PROFIBUS network, it allows status, command, and diagnostic data to move between the motion hardware and the supervisory PLC without additional gateways.

The card follows the PC/104 format, so it stacks directly onto embedded CPUs and other I/O layers without a backplane. Power is taken from the system bus at +5 VDC ±5%, and the electronics draw only 650 mA, keeping the thermal load low inside compact cabinets. Fieldbus wiring attaches to a 9-pin D-sub connector that carries the PROFIBUS DP signals; these lines are galvanically isolated to prevent ground loops between the drive and plant network. As a slave device, it accepts telegrams at rates from 9.6 kbaud up to 12 Mbaud, allowing it to coexist with legacy and high-speed segments. Four onboard diagnostic LEDs show channel status and error states. A separate RS-232C service port operating at 9600 baud provides detailed reports during setup.

Within the isolated interface logic, the module provides 8 KB of dual-port memory that the host CPU reads or writes through simple 8-bit transactions. This buffer supports cyclic user data sizes of up to 244 bytes in and 244 bytes out per bus scan. The controller stops additional allocations when cumulative traffic across all nodes would exceed 368 bytes, preserving telegram timing. Reliable operation is maintained from 0 °C to 55 °C, and the unit can be stored from -25 °C to 70 °C without recalibration. Conformal coating and sealed connectors permit operation in noncondensing humidity of up to 75% RH, so the board can reside in machinery enclosures that lack full climate control.
