The RECO-PC-104 Q1 LK DAQ03 communication board belongs to the RECO Drive Modules series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed inside PC-104 stacks, the board links Arcnet fieldbus segments to fiber-optic drive rings used by Rexroth controllers. By translating bus traffic between these two deterministic channels, the product allows motion controllers to exchange real-time status and command data with multiple drives in a distributed automation cell. Its compact board format supports integration into embedded control systems where cabinet space is limited and direct communication between control and drive networks is required.

Arcnet connectivity provides an effective throughput of 2.5 Mbit/s, supporting deterministic packet timing for cyclic telegrams. Upstream cabling connects through a coaxial interface with a characteristic impedance of 92 ohms, which minimizes reflections when the node is inserted along the trunk line. The module can host up to 255 Arcnet addresses, allowing numerous motion axes and control devices to share a common master. Power is supplied at a 5 V logic level, and the board draws a maximum of 700 mA from the backplane to energize its transceivers and optical emitters. Four diagnostic LEDs indicate carrier detection, transmission, reception, and fault status, allowing bus activity to be checked without external instruments. These indicators provide immediate visual information during system operation and help isolate communication interruptions within the network.

On the downstream side, the card operates as an Arcnet slave device and forwards telegrams to a dual-loop SERCOS link that can accommodate up to 32 drive or I/O nodes. Data travels over a fiber-optic duplex path, isolating the electronics from electrical noise and ground loops. The physical interface uses the SERCOS protocol layer, allowing connected devices that use the same telegram structure to exchange synchronized motion and status data. Two fiber port pairs support ring or line topologies, giving the installation flexibility in how optical connections are routed through the machine. At least one active ring must be present for normal arbitration, while the dual-loop arrangement can support an additional communication path when the system layout requires it.
