Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the RECO-PC-104 Q2 LK DAQ04 for use in the RECO Drive Modules series. The module is a communication and synchronization card that links Rexroth motion controllers to distributed axes in an automation cell. By combining an Arcnet fieldbus with a fiber-optic PPC link, it transfers setpoints, position data, and timing signals so that multiple drives operate in phase during coordinated motion tasks. This arrangement supports synchronized movement in systems with several connected drive axes.

On the Arcnet side, the board communicates as a slave device through a coaxial BNC connector and supports up to 255 network participants. The serial channel transfers telegrams at 2.5 Mbit/s, providing deterministic update periods of 2 ms with 16 nodes and 4 ms with 32 nodes. These update periods provide the control bandwidth needed for time-sensitive operations such as electronic gearing and camming. Four link-sync inputs allow the Arcnet frame trigger to align with external encoder markers. The communication architecture permits a controller to address as many as 128 coordinated axes without exceeding the available telegram window.

The PPC link uses fiber-optic cabling that follows the SERCOS standard, and either a dual-ring or single-ring topology can be selected to meet system redundancy needs. At the maximum ring configuration of 64 stations, the guaranteed cycle time is 8 ms, making the link suitable for large conveyor groups or multistation press lines. The link carries clock and data signals for 64 PPC participants. The card allows up to 63 link slaves to report status to the two master axes supported by each PPC. Its single-board design fits standard PC-104 stacks, allowing integration into existing drive racks without additional wiring hardware.
