RECO-PC-104 T2 LK ETH01

The RECO-PC-104 T2 LK ETH01 communication board is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for integration into the RECO Drive Modules series. It is a PC-104 form-factor expansion card that provides Ethernet and Ethernet/IP connections between a RECO controller and higher-level plant networks. Inside automated machinery, the board transfers real-time process data so that drives, HMIs, and PLCs can share status words and command bits without external gateways.

Its board format follows the PC-104 stacking standard, and its PPC interface provides the PC-104 data bus connection. A front-mounted RS-232-C diagnostic port allows connected service tools to retrieve fault codes. Network wiring terminates at a shielded 8-pin RJ45 jack that uses four active Ethernet signal pins: pin 1 for TX+, pin 2 for TX-, pin 4 for RX+, and pin 6 for RX-. The physical layer operates at 10 Mbaud in compliance with IEEE 802.3, so its cabling requirements match those of classic 10BASE-T segments. Because autonegotiation is disabled, connected devices must be set to the required speed. Either half-duplex or full-duplex transmission can be selected through the duplex mode setting. The board can use standard Ethernet frames or Ethernet/IP messaging, depending on the selected operating mode.

When Ethernet/IP is active, the module accepts 11 simultaneous TCP clients and 4 simultaneous UDP clients. These clients can exchange a cyclic process image containing 32 input words and 32 output words. For higher throughput, the board provides an Ethernet/IP process image of 128 input and 128 output words. The embedded server supports Level 2 functionality, including implicit and explicit messaging. Up to seven HMI stations can poll data through the Ethernet/IP HMI channel, while a separate UDP image containing 32 input words and 32 output words is reserved for fast cyclic transfers.
