The RMA12.2-16-AC230-200 is an INTERBUS-compatible relay switching module engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned within the RECO Drive Modules series. Installed in an automation cabinet, it offers galvanically isolated output channels that translate digital bus commands into local power switching, permitting drives, contactors, or indicator devices to be energized directly from the distributed fieldbus. By sliding this unit onto the RECO back-plane, system builders expand the number of controllable AC loads without adding external wiring complexity.

Produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat, the module relies on electro-mechanical relays that keep the field circuit electrically separate from controller electronics. Each contact supports a maximum switching current of 2 A, enabling direct operation of modest inductive or resistive loads without auxiliary relays. Reliable actuation persists down to 5 mA, a specification that benefits sensor excitation loops and status lamps drawing only minute currents. Field wiring is reduced because the module receives all setpoints through INTERBUS, so only the load lines and a common supply have to be landed on the front terminals. As part of the RECO Drive Modules platform it connects to the internal power and communication bus using a keyed slide-in carrier, maintaining uniform addressing across the rack.
