RZK Heat Exchangers

When an RD500 converter uses cooling type R, the RZK Heat Exchanger provides the external cooling stage because that converter configuration does not include an internal heat exchanger. The series is built for outside-cabinet or wall-mounted installation, with required spacing for cool-air intake and hot-air exhaust so the thermal path remains effective. RZK units are selected by the RD500 power class they support, including 132, 160, 200, 315, and 400 kW converter classes, with cooling capacities available as 4 kW, 5 kW, 2 × 4 kW, or 2 × 5 kW depending on model. Each unit is rated IP20 and can be ordered with or without an integrated brake resistor, with resistor data defined by resistance value, nominal power, 0.1-second peak power, and thermal time constant. In larger cabinet layouts, one RZK exchanger can cool multiple frequency converters, provided the combined converter heat losses stay within the available cooling capacity of the selected unit.
