RZW02.1-037-025, Bosch Rexroth Indramat, RZW Braking Resistors are designed to safely absorb regenerative energy in industrial automation systems. This braking resistor belongs to the 037 (37 kW) Power Class and provides a Peak Power capability of 33 kW for short bursts. It supports three Switching Duty (sd) OptionsSD 6%, 15%, 25%—to match diverse braking profiles. The unit features an IP 23 Protection Class housing that safeguards internal components from solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.



Engineered for robust performance, the resistor offers a Thermal Time Constant of 100 s for controlled heat dissipation under repeated braking cycles. Its Minimum Connectable Resistance of 7 Ω ensures compatibility with low-impedance drives, while specific resistances of 7.4 Ω (SD 6%), 8.0 Ω (SD 15%), and 7.3 Ω (SD 25%) allow precise tuning of braking torque. The internal resistive elements employ high-grade steel screen technology: F1 grade for SD 6% and F2 grade for SD 15% and SD 25%, maintaining stability under high thermal loads. Conductor cross-section is optimized for current capacity with 10 mm² (sd 6%), 16 mm² (sd 15%), and 25 mm² (sd 25%), minimizing voltage drop and hot-spot formation.



Installation is simplified by a bolt-on mounting configuration perpendicular to the assembly surface, and durable PG screw terminals ensure reliable electrical connections.
