BTV15 Visualization Terminals

BTV15 Visualization Terminals are Bosch Rexroth Indramat PC-based operator terminals used for machine visualization, local control, and industrial HMI operation, with extended versions capable of supporting integrated PLC-style control hardware for standalone use on equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and machining centers. The BTV15.2 platform is based on Windows NT 4.0 with service pack 5 and includes a 266 MHz CPU, integrated graphics, 64 or 128 MB RAM, a hard disk larger than 3 GB, an 8.2-inch DSTN color display, and 24 VDC power input in its standard configuration. Operator interaction is handled through a multi-level keypad that reproduces most standard keyboard functions through alternate key assignments, along with eight machine function keys positioned beside the display and labeled through slide-in strips. For shop-floor durability, the terminal uses a non-reflective display cover, a thick aluminum front panel, chemical-resistant polyester foil, and embossed keys designed to resist separation. System integration is supported through serial communication, including RS232, RS422, and RS485 capability on COM2, plus Ethernet, VGA, PS/2 keyboard and mouse connections, and an extended backplane option with ISA/PCI expansion for plug-in cards and additional control-unit slots.
