ADF Main Spindle Motors

ADF Main Spindle Motors are Bosch Rexroth Indramat liquid-cooled three-phase induction motors developed for high-performance spindle and servo duties in machinery such as machine tools, printing equipment, textile systems, and plastics-processing machines. The series is designed to maintain useful constant-power operation over a broad speed range, with field weakening extending to approximately 1:6 when used with the proper drive controller. Rotor-position feedback is built into the control concept so the drive can regulate speed and spindle position with high resolution throughout the operating range. Mechanical integration is based on flange mounting in B5/IM B5 arrangements, with selectable power-connection directions and optional features such as electrically clamped or electrically released holding brakes. Certain versions also provide a B-side shaft extension for fitting an additional encoder when separate absolute position feedback is needed. Because the motors use an induction design, routine maintenance demands are low, while liquid-cooling connections, integrated NTC temperature monitoring, and sealed variants with protection up to IP65 at the shaft and connection areas support reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.
