Bosch Rexroth Indramat MAC AC Servo Motors are permanent-magnet AC servo motors built for rapid-response motion control with electronic commutation. The MAC series is used with compatible drive controllers such as TDM, KDS, and DSC units to control dynamic machine axes. These motors are designed with low rotor inertia and a strong torque-to-inertia ratio, giving them high overload capability, a wide usable peak-torque range, and smooth running performance. Speed and rotor-position feedback are provided through integrated tachofeedback, with the series-specific high-resolution feedback design supporting precise drive regulation. Optional position feedback can be added through mounted incremental or absolute encoders, or through a second shaft end for customer-supplied encoder equipment, depending on the motor version. For industrial durability, MAC motors use a fully enclosed IP65 housing, with power, tacho, and encoder cabling designed for IP65-level installation requirements. Thermal protection is provided through thermo switches in the windings and stator housing to help prevent overload damage. Available mechanical options include a 24 VDC holding brake, plain or keyed output shafts, standardized connector-based cabling, and axial or radial surface-cooling options for high-duty cycles and frequent start-stop operation.
