It converts drive current into controlled mechanical torque for positioning and velocity tasks in automated machinery. By integrating feedback electronics and matching windings, the unit supplies closed-loop motion that can be synchronized with a higher-level controller in assembly cells, packaging lines, or material-handling axes.

An internal axial fan directs airflow along the housing so the motor can sustain continuous duty without relying on external coolers. Rotor position data are generated by the singleturn absolute encoder EnDat2.1, enabling immediate absolute position recall after power-up. The stator is wound to code 0150, and this electrical design supports a rated shaft speed of 1500 rpm while maintaining commutation accuracy. Installation flexibility is provided through flange and foot mounting, allowing the frame to be secured to either a base plate or a gearhead flange. Standard rolling bearings support the rotor, the power and feedback conductors terminate on a sealed connector block, and the motor is delivered without a holding brake so mechanical locking must be supplied externally when power-off holding is required.

The connector hardware is oriented on the B-side of the housing to simplify cable runs in cabinets where the drive is mounted against a back wall. A whole-key balanced shaft is supplied without a shaft seal, simplifying coupling alignment for torque transmission into gearboxes or pulleys. Frame size 100 and length code C define the stator stack and overall body dimensions, while vibration grade R limits oscillatory forces transmitted to surrounding structures. Together, these mechanical attributes complement the electrical characteristics introduced above and allow the motor to fit into medium-inertia drive trains that demand precise, repeatable motion.
