The MDD090B-N-030-N2L-110GL0 is a three-phase synchronous motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Designed for integration with digital drive controllers, the unit supplies rapid torque and speed control to automated axes in packaging, machining, and material-handling equipment. By combining a permanent-magnet rotor with electronic commutation, the motor converts electrical power into precise rotary motion without mechanical feedback devices, allowing the controller to close position and velocity loops directly through the feedback channel.
At standstill the motor can deliver 7.2 Nm of continuous torque, a capability that dictates how much static load the axis can hold without overheating. When energized with its rated frequency it reaches a nominal speed of 3000 min⁻¹, enabling mid-range spindle or feeder duties. Accurate mechanical centering is assisted by a 110 mm centering diameter, and the frame follows the MDD size code of 090, giving a compact cross-section that eases installation. The length designation B identifies the second body size in the 090 family and determines winding mass and thermal capacity. Standard balancing and a plain shaft minimize vibration during operation, while the standard housing dissipates heat by natural convection. The motor is supplied without a blocking brake, so holding force must be provided by the drive or external mechanics.
For wiring, power and feedback connectors are mounted securely on the Left side of the stator, and the mating interface uses a single circular Connector that supports quick replacement in the field. Position data return is handled by digital servo feedback, allowing the drive to monitor rotor angle with high resolution. A fitted shaft seal stops lubricant from escaping and blocks airborne contaminants from entering the bearing region.
