MDD Synchronous Motors
The MDD093B-N-040-N2M-110GB1 synchronous servo motor is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Intended for digital drive controllers in industrial automation, it converts commanded currents into regulated torque and speed for positioning, conveying, and general motion tasks in packaging lines, gantry systems, and material handling equipment.
At standstill the unit supplies 14.5 Nm of continuous torque, permitting loads to be held without additional cooling. Under rated electrical frequency it runs at a nominal 4000 min⁻¹, establishing the speed set-point for process cycles. For static holding during power loss, the built-in brake develops 11 Nm of mechanical torque; the brake engages automatically because the model is delivered with a blocking brake. A centering diameter of 110 mm assists coaxial alignment with mounting collars, while a plain shaft transmits torque directly to couplings. Electrical power, feedback, and brake leads are brought out through a rear connector, and the housing and balancing follow the series’ standard specification.
The connections are positioned on Side B, keeping cables away from the driven machine face. Rotor position is measured by an integrated multiturn absolute encoder, and that signal is reported through digital servo feedback (DSF) so the controller can correct error every cycle. Standard rotor balancing limits vibration, while motor size 093 and length code B set the active stack length used for thermal and torque calculations. A fitted shaft seal protects the bearings from process fluids, and the shaft end remains standard on the drive side only, eliminating the need for guarding on the opposite face.
