The MDD112C-N-030-N2M-130GA3 is a synchronous servo motor, which is part of the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth, known for high precision and brisk performance. The unit uses natural convection and surface cooling methods to dispel heat, safeguarded by a thermal sensor in the stator windings to prevent overheating damage. A sealing ring ensures fluid penetration is avoided, along with a non-positive shaft-hub connection facilitated by a plain shaft which also provides zero backlash. The motor is encased in a black prime coating for protection against yellowing, chalky buildups, lyes, and weathering. The motor features a nominal speed of 3,000 rotations per minute and a centering diameter of 130mm. It includes digital servo feedback with integrated multiturn absolute encoder, utilizing optical measurement techniques for absolute indirect position detection. The data memory holds motor type name and control loop parameters for decreased startup time. Brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings ensure maintenance-free operation. According to DIN 40 050, it carries an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65, rendering it touch-proof, dustproof, and protected against water jet sprays.
