This black-coated unit safeguards against corrosive fluids such as minor alkali, seawater, mineral oil, diluted acids, and sewage. Included is a built-in temperature sensor, within the motor windings, that offers protection against overload damage. The operational temperature is regulated through natural convection. If needed, it can be augmented by an additional surface cooling unit for extreme loads. Its design comprises a backlash-free, plain output shaft ensuring a non-positive transmission of torque, secured by a sealing ring preventing liquid penetration. Special grease-lubricated ball bearings reduce rotor friction. The motor requires an ongoing input current of 29.7 amperes, yielding a constant 28-newton meter torque, at a nominal speed of approximately 2000 RPM. The motor weights around 48 kilograms.
