The Bosch Rexroth R911286608 (MKE116B-024-NP1-KN) synchronous motor boasts a black (RAL 9005) finish resistant to a variety of substances, from diluted acids to seawater. Its housing offers a degree of protection of IP 65 on the flange side. The motor’s shaft and bearings can handle both radial and axial force. However, heavy reversing operation might damage the shaft that relies on a sealing ring for friction seal. The device has a torque reduction of 10%-20% when gearboxes are installed. Mounted on the top is the terminal box for electrical connections. The motor uses an electrically releasing principle for its holding brake. To ensure the longevity of its bearings, avoid overloading. Before the initial use, run it at 800 to 1,000 RPM speed for an hour, if stored idle for up to 5 years.
