MS2E Synchronous Servomotors
The MS2E04-C0BNN-CSSG1-NNNNN-NN is a three-phase permanent-magnet motor from Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. Intended for precise position and speed control in automated lines, the size 04 unit combines a low-inertia rotor with frame length C mechanics. It incorporates a Size 1 electrically released holding brake and delivers feedback through the Advanced Performance ACUROlink single-cable interface, giving the controller absolute position information while reducing wiring.
Mechanical attachment follows the B5 / IM3001 standard; an 82 mm square flange of standard exactness secures with 6.6 mm bolts, and a 50 mm centering collar maintains alignment. The smooth shaft and sealing ring allow a protection rating of IP65, and internal heat is removed by self-cooling, so no external blower is required. Connection is made through a rotatable M23 single-cable plug that carries power and feedback. Position data come from a Singleturn encoder that resolves each revolution to 20 bit, while one absolute revolution is retained for startup referencing. The assembly is ATEX compliant, employs standard deep-groove ball bearings, and is finished with varnish RAL 9005 for basic corrosion resistance. A PT1000 sensor monitors winding temperature.
Within its performance window the motor reaches a nominal speed of 3000 1/min and the brake sustains loads up to 5.00 Nm. Continuous duty is possible between 0 … 40 °C without derating, and installation up to 1 000 m above sea level is permitted. Low inertia supports rapid indexing, while the coated housing and deep-groove bearings limit vibration and noise. These characteristics let the MS2E04 module serve packaging lines, electronic assembly axes, and laboratory stages that demand compact dimensions, sealed construction, and accurate single-cable feedback.
