Thermal energy is dissipated by a self-cooling housing, avoiding external blowers and preserving the motor’s IP rating. Environmental sealing is defined by the IP65 enclosure with a shaft sealing ring, keeping dust and water jets away from the deep-groove ball bearings. A Size 1, electrically released brake supplies 10.00 Nm of static holding torque for vertical or position-critical axes. Position feedback uses the Advanced Performance ACUROlink multiturn encoder; its single-turn stage resolves to 20 bit. The rotatable M23 single-cable interface carries both power and data, and a PT1000 sensor monitors winding temperature.

Surface protection is provided by a varnish layer in RAL 9005, and the shaft keyway is supplied with a sealing ring to match the enclosure rating. The motor maintains full output from sea level up to 1 000 m and across an ambient range of 0 - 40 °C without derating. Compliance with ATEX directives and an absolute multi-turn range of 4096 revolutions enable deployment in hazardous zones with position memory after power loss.
