The MS2M03-A0FNN-KMDL0 is an ultra-compact synchronous motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MS2M Ultra Compact Motors series. Classified in the product group of ultra-compact motors, it is intended for tightly spaced industrial axes where precise torque and position control are required.

The motor mounts to machinery through a bolt circle of 70 mm on a 60 mm square flange and centers with a 50 mm spigot. A keyed, un-sealed shaft measures 11 mm in diameter and 27 mm in length, while the housing corresponds to frame size 3 and frame length A. Peak output reaches 1.91 Nm, and at 60 K temperature rise the standstill torque is 0.64 Nm; the low rotor inertia complements these values for fast acceleration. Passive cooling by Natural Convection works with an IP65 enclosure to keep contaminants out. Mechanical noise is limited to 65 dB(A). Position feedback comes from an optical encoder with 23 Bit resolution that can operate in either single-turn or multiturn mode. Control electronics require a supply of 4.75 to 5.25 V, and the windings are specified for a base speed of 3000 min-1. Continuous operation is allowed in ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C, matching standard cabinet ratings. The natural convection path, sealed housing, and high-precision encoder combine to deliver stable performance in compact pick-and-place modules, indexing tables, and other motion tasks where space, environmental protection, and fine resolution must coexist.
