Feedback is provided by a singleturn encoder that reports absolute position within one mechanical revolution, and its basic resolution of 16 signal periods over Hiperface communication is sufficient for commutation and mid-range accuracy without excessive data throughput.

For static holding or emergency stopping, a Size 1 electrically released holding brake is mounted at the non-drive end and is commanded directly by the drive controller. Power and feedback are routed through a double cable connection 2x M17 that can be rotated to suit cabinet entry angles, reducing strain on wiring. Mechanical output is transferred through a smooth shaft with shaft sealing ring, allowing leak-free coupling to gearboxes while maintaining IP protection of internal bearings. A built-in PT1000 temperature sensor connects to the drive to monitor winding heat and support derating or shutdown functions when necessary.
