MS2N Synchronous Servo Motors

The motor uses a standard bearing set and standard flange accuracy to match typical mounting tolerances. Heat is removed by self-cooling, so no external fan or liquid circuit is required. Power and feedback conductors exit through a double cable connection M23 / M17, rotatable, simplifying cabinet wiring. Nominal operation is specified at 4000 1/min. Position feedback comes from an Advanced – 20-Bit ACURO®Link encoder that supplies high resolution to the drive. Mechanical depth follows frame length C, and the assembly is delivered without a holding brake.
The aluminum housing is covered with standard varnish, RAL 9005 black, for basic corrosion protection. A laminated rotor with low inertia accelerates quickly, supporting fast indexing moves. The encoder stores absolute position across multiturn, 4 096 revolutions, so systems can start without a homing cycle. A smooth shaft with a sealing ring transmits torque without keyways, reducing coupling stress and maintaining the ingress rating provided at the shaft. Together with the cooling and connection features noted earlier, these characteristics allow the MS2N07 size to achieve high dynamic performance in horizontal or vertical axes that are locked externally when power is off.
